If you knew me personally, you wouldn't be surprised to find at least two books in my handbag at all times.

If you knew me personally, you wouldn't be surprised to find at least two books in my handbag at all times. At the current moment, my nightstand contains four books that I read in tandem. Why?

* Because I'm simply a nerd at heart.

* I believe that readers are leaders.

* I was taught that if someone wants to hide something from you, they'll more than likely put it in written form. And I'm nosey!

Books force you to think critically and help to shape and challenge your views. Here are a few picks that have helped develop me personally:
1. The Bible

Self explanatory.

2. As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

Based on the book of Proverbs, this self-help book is in constant rotation throughout the year for me. It is a short read, but packed with powerful teachings on the power of thought.

3. The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason
A classic bestseller that teaches the dynamic laws of prosperity and personal financial management thru the use of parables.

4. The Richest Man Who Ever Lived by Steven K. Scott

5. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

6. Outwitting the DeviI by Napoleon Hill
