Letter to My Daughter

My oldest child recently left the nest. Watching your heartbeat walk away is no joke. The pain of separation can be blinding. You begin to wonder if you’ve taught them all they’ll need to know to navigate life’s challenges because they most certainly will come. In a panic, I wrote ten key points that I considered crucial to her success. However, as I accept my new role and commit to rediscovering and redefining myself, I realize they are also for me. I’ll share them:

In life you can have two things: It. All.

Take God out of the box.

Listen to your intuition.

Dream til it scares you.

You create the world with your thoughts.

Set boundaries for yourself.

It’s already in you.

Work.  Even the ants do it.

Don’t cut what you can simply untie.

Acknowledge your successes more than your failures.

So many of us have forgotten that we possess the creative power to shape and mold our lives. We are the architect of whatever is to be. Our thoughts and words form the non-existent to reality. We’re powerful creatures with the God-given ability to decree a thing and watch it take place. God’s waiting on you as much as you’re waiting on Him. You CAN have it all.
